WELCOME TO THE STABLE BASEBALL ACADEMY!
The Stable Baseball Academy is an organization designed to produce scholarship worthy student athletes. We have designed our own unique Three Tier Developmental Program that will act as a guideline for member development. Our Three Tier Developmental Program is made up of the following levels: Academic Excellence, Community Involvement, and Athletic Achievement. At The Stable, we realize personal success in these three areas is essential in being considered for a college scholarship.
To assist our members in their pursuit of personal excellence, The Stable is staffed with licensed teachers and guidance counselors, as well as the best private baseball instructors in the Northeast. Our staff works hand in hand to develop each member to their highest personal level as student athletes.
The Stable Baseball Academy is based out of Extra Innings in Woburn, MA and opened in October of 2008.

- December 25, 2009 - Merry Christmas
The Stable would like to wish all our members and their families a very Merry Christmas!!!
- October 15, 2009 - The Stable Celebrates Its First Year!!!
The Stable would like to thank all of its members and their families for helping The Stable have such a tremendously successful first year.
In our first year, we have had many on and off field successes. In one year, we saw three members host the Cal Ripken World Series, various members make traveling all star and AAU teams, and have placed 4 high school members in the highly competitive Division 1 Catholic Conference.
Off the field many of our members contributed in various community involvement and volunteering efforts. Many of these projects allowed our members to act as mentors for younger youth. In these leadership roles, our members represented our Academy to the highest level possible by setting excellent examples to the youth they influenced.
With year one behind us, we are very proud of our Academy and look forward to the continued success for many years to come. This success is a direct result of the quality young men that make up The Stable Baseball Academy. We are very proud of all our members and again want to thank all of them for their efforts on and off the field.
- August 19, 2009 - Stable Trio leads Winchester to HUGE win over California at Cal Ripken World Series!!!
Stable ace Ian Steckel entered the game to pitch in the top of the 5th inning with Winchester trailing 8-3. He retired the first batter he faced and then gave up an opposite field homerun to make the score 9-3. Ian showed tremendous poise by maintaining his composure and quickly setting down the next two California batters. Winchester then rallied to make the score 9-8 in the bottom of the 5th. Steckel returned to the mound in the top of the 6th and again quickly retired three batters to keep Winchester in striking distance going into the bottom of the 6th. With a runner on first and two outs Stable member Jordan "Popeye" Darby stepped to the plate (already 1-1 on the day). Darby put in a great atbat working the count to 3-2. Darby then fouled back the 3-2 offering. The next pitch Darby showed a great eye and laid off a close pitcher's pitch drawing the walk. Up strolled Stable slugger Eric Rolfs (2-2 on the day with a 2B off the wall and 1B to left) to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd. Eric took a first pitch strike. Then the California lefthander threw a passed ball allowing runners to advance to 2nd and 3rd. The next pitch Rolfs took a beautiful swing fouling the 1-1 offering straight back. With the count 1-2 the CA pitcher tried to put Eric away with a letter high pitch. Rolfs had other ideas for the pitch sending it DEEP to left center hitting the very top of the wall with a bases clearing, game winning double.
The Stable trio finished the day with Ian Steckel picking up the win on the mound, Popeye Darby as the winning run, and Rolfs delivering the game winning RBI with his 3rd hit of the game. Great job guys!!! You represented the Stable amazingly on the biggest stage!
